Boil Water Notice Rescinded

On February 17, 2021, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Barker Cypress MUD public water system, TX1011613, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of today, February 22, 2021.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Inframark, the operator for Barker Cypress MUD, at our 24-hour Customer Service Line (281) 398-8211.

Boil Water Notice Still in Effect

The District receives surface water from the West Harris County Regional Water Authority (the “Authority”), which receives its surface water from the City of Houston.

The City of Houston has lifted its boil water notice, which has triggered the Authority to sample its water with an expectation of receiving results by this afternoon. In addition, Barker-Cypress Municipal Utility District (the “District”) is having its water sampled today and expects results from these samples tomorrow.

If the results are negative, the District anticipates rescinding the boil water notice sometime tomorrow.
